Once back from Hong Kong and Tokyo, Madoi selected the best of the collection of drawings made during his long staying in those countries and accepted the invitation of Ninetto Camattini, his long time friend and owner of the most famous Gallery in Parma, to present his work in an exhibition with the Orient as only theme. Parma was already used to some of these drawings, as some of them had been   appearing on the local newspaper La Gazzetta di Parma, accompanying the weekly reports sent by Madoi, a sort of diary from far-away worlds, published till his return.
