Madoi, all ‘ Arengario

Madoi was given the honour of this exhibition on his return to Milan, in 1970, after the four years spent in Parma. The Town Council of Milan, along with the Ambrogino d’ Oro, an yearly reward to distinguished representatives in art, culture and industry, restored and put at Madoi’s disposal an ancient three stores Tower (the medieval Porta Ticinese, XII century) in the centre of Milan, as his atelier. In this exhibition Madoi presented a collection of paintings, drawings and, thanks to the wide spaces of the palace, a great number of the preparatory studies for the projects of fresco paintings just completed during his staying in Parma could find place.
