As first event in the program of the celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of Madoi (1976-2006) promoted by Provincia di Parma, this date was significant for the return of the heirs of Madoi in Sesta. They had left everything behind almost soon after the death of Madoi in 1976 ending with selling Il Ventoso, the favourite residence of the artist, in the 90s. Touched by the continuous rumours of simple and silent celebrations, respect of recurrences with fresh cut flowers on the tombstone of Madoi in the small cemetery, confirming the always alive memories for the artist in the village after so many years, they joined the whole village in the effort of promoting the restoration of the fresco art works painted by Madoi in the 60s. Dall’ Alba al Tramonto is the title given by Madoi for his out of the blue public exibitions as one day events with no notice, no glamour, no invitations. Just the villagers, his paintings perilously hang on stone walls along the narrow streets and himself..It was always an huge success and in few hours hundreds of people were coming from the near villages, attracted by a word by word notice. So, after 40 years, this appointment was respected with the best of the family private collection. Though washed by a torrential rain, some 20 paintings were appearing as sudden and unusual bright images in the most improbable of a gallery, finding place wherever possible.
