Costa  Sant’ Abramo,  the last painting

The sublimation of a mother’s suffering.

Story of a painting and of an encounter: Walter Madoi and Father Ivo Azzali

With this title, on May 10, 2009, the village of Costa Sant' Abramo, with the support of the Mayor of Castelverde, the referring town, intended to celebrate  and to go back in their memories to those 10 days near Christmas, in 1975, when Madoi painted in fresco the apse of their little Church.
A conference and a complete illustration of the life and art of Madoi were accompanied by an old file short documentary showing Madoi while painting, masterly set up and lectured by Adelaide Ricci di Canapaia.  Tiziana Cordani, art critic, gave an intense and personal interpretation of the event.
