Sesta, Church of San Rocco

After 45 years since the completion of the fresco paintings by Walter Madoi inside this little church, a significative first step towards the restoration of these artworks has been finally undertaken. On August 16, 2009, the new facade of the Church is unveiled by the representatives of the Institutions who have been promoting this realization, such as Provincia di Parma, Parco dei Cento Laghi, Diocesi di Parma, Comitato Sesta.Madoi and Fondazione Isabella e Walter Madoi. At the end of the further stages of restoration of the building it will be possible to proceed with the artistic restoration of the paintings inside the Church, under the supervision of MIBAC, Department of the Environment responsible of monuments and artistic treasures and thanks to the first financial contribution of Fondazione Cariparma.
